Work at LTI

LTI is a privately-owned daycare in Helsinki. We take care of children from 9 months up to 5 years of age. We are inspired by Magda Gerber’s Educaring® approach. We hope that you are familiar with this approach and are willing to practice this specific childcare approach.

You must be fluent and confident in speaking, as well as writing, in English. We hope that you are able to understand a little bit of Finnish, but this is not a requirement. You must have the proper qualifications and experience for this position. You must present a clear criminal record from the Finnish police.

LTI will only contact those whose credentials, work experience and qualifications match our requirement.

The same way of being can go to a family’s address: babysitting, house cleaning, parent support, home massage.

That is not a daycare post. It is separate work, after we talk, and — if you will sit — after an afternoon at LTI.

Use the form below.

Parent support is not therapy; do not use a protected Finnish title (psykoterapeutti, psykologi, sosiaalityöntekijä) unless you hold it. Family-work visits go through LTI only, after we have seen your training and a criminal-records extract for work with children. Home massage here is well-being, not treatment; only a registered koulutettu hieroja (Valvira / LVV) may use that title, and if you are not registered you must not diagnose or present the hour as healthcare. Sitting with a child also needs a criminal-records extract and the paid LTI afternoon; cleaning does not.
Sitting with a family through LTI starts with four hours in our daycare in Tapaninvainio. It is not a certificate from another organisation, and it is not a daycare job. Cleaning and massage do not need this afternoon. We agree the date first before you come.
Fill up only when applying to sit with LTI.
